We are back this summer! Both hikes and Wednesday Markets are a go. Plus a couple of other events might pop up!
June Wednesday Markets: June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th – 11:00 am – 8:00pm

June Hike: June 26th Kenai National Refuge Headquarters Trails – 11:00 AM Meet at the Visitor Center
Come learn about the plants that grow in the Soldotna area. We will be doing the Centennial Trail. Moderate 2.2 miles (Download the map)
July Wednesday Markets: July 7th, 14th, 21th, and 28th – 11:00 am – 8:00pm

July Hike: July 10th Russian River Falls – 11:00 AM meet at the parking lot (there may or may not be a day fee)
Come learn about the plants that grow in the Cooper Landing area. We will be doing the Russian River Falls area which is a fairly easy hike.
Bear Paw Festival – The Roaring 20’s: July 15th and 18th, – 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm; July 16th and 17th –12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Valley River Center & Business Blvd – Come check out what I have available, chat with me about herbs and plants, or just say “Hi!” I love getting to meet people that I see on the Facebook Page or Instagram. This will be one of the first events I’ll be doing in Eagle River and I’m so excited to meet everyone!

August Hike: August 14th Resurrection Falls – 11:00 AM meet at the parking lot outside of Cooper Landing.
Come learn about the plants that grow in the Cooper Landing area. We will be doing the Resurrection Falls area which is a little bit more difficult. We will only be going in about two miles then turn around. We won’t be doing the whole 40 some miles of it 🙂

This is the last Wednesday Market of the season :'( But it’s okay, there are a couple of more things that we will be doing.
September Hike: August 15th Tsalteshi Trails – TBD
As part of the Kenai Local Food Connection, I will be doing this Hike again to go over food you can find in your back yard! Stay Tuned as more information becomes available.

The Alaska Food Hub
The Alaska Food Hub is a fantastic way to buy directly from local producers on the Kenai Peninsula. Here is when they open in the different areas:
Homer: Open February 12 – December 22nd
Wednesday Pick-up, 3-6pm at Homer United Methodist Church, 770 East End Rd.

Ninilchik: Open April 30 – October 13
Wednesday Pick-up, 3-7pm at Ninilchik Health & Wellness Club, 15971 Sterling Hwy

Soldotna: Open April 30 – October 13
