Hi! I’m Larissa and I own Alaska Herbal Solutions. My goal is to partner with people to help them understand their health and how they can get better using lifestyle changes and herbs. The eventual goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner so that, if needed, medications can also be used. Modern medicine has its place, but it is farther down on the list. In my life, I am dedicated to live a thriving life as naturally as possible, using diet, herbs and supplements, as well as teach other people how to do the same in their life.

I created Alaska Herbal Solutions because of my passion for working with herbs, which I’ve been studying for 12 years. When I moved up to Alaska in the fall of 2011, I started researching herbs and plants that have food and medicinal value locally. What I found was that Alaska pretty much provides everything that one could need, and that is how the natives survived – they found that everything had a use!

What you can expect from this blog.

I created this blog as a way for me to teach people about the plants and herbs that grow in Alaska. It is also the online store where I sell products that I make myself. Eventually, there will be a line of supplements, but that’s a little later down the line.

I post about things I’ve found on my walk-abouts, how to harvest, recipes you can try for yourself, and any news to do with AKHS.
